The treated windshield product assists in the prevention of cracks, chips and stars, sand pitting, snow and ice build-up, is water-resistant, and reduces glare at night. If damage caused by a road hazard occurs, permanent windshield resin repair costs are covered by the Principal Safety Shield plan.

This process fills the crack, chip, or star with a resin that bonds the glass together, preventing the break from spreading and restoring the strength and integrity of the windshield. If the windshield is not repairable through this process, the front windshield will be replaced and retreated with the windshield protection product.
